The vibrant warehouse party returning for its third successful year to Splott Warehouse, Titan Road, Cardiff will take place on the August bank holiday weekend on Saturday, August 27 2016, with extended opening hours running from 2pm to midnight
Major dance and electronic DJs will play host to over 6,000 revellers covered in hue and dye at Splott Warehouse as The Color Festival returns to Cardiff for its third year running. Here’s what’s to expect…
1. Basement Jaxx
Iconic electronic house duo Basement Jaxx will be headlining with Producer, Remixer, DJ and Rinse FM host, Chris Lorenzo and DJ S.K.T, a fast-rising name producer in the UK’s underground music circuit.
2. Three stages
The Color Festival will see a trinity of stages, including the Main Stage sponsored by the Ministry of Sound, the Mayfair Sessions Stage and the Concrete Junglists X Bullion Stage, all with big name artists as well as the finest local resident DJs.
3. The biggest line-up yet
Random Mandem, Majestic, Dan Hills, Micky Slim, The Golden Boy and Varski Rewire will also join Basement Jaxx, Chris Lorenzo and DJ S.K.T on the Ministry of Sound Main Stage.
The Mayfair Session Stage line-up includes Angel, DJ Russke, Jordan Valleys, DJ Jigga, Monique B, Dan Willow, Mr. Bibs, DJ Sole.
While Dillinja, Mampi Swift, Mollie Collins, Casey, Benji B, Lowqui will be taking to the Concrete Junglists X Bullion Stage.
4. Extended opening hours
The festival will have extended opening hours from 2pm for all those who want to start the party early with music and colour all the way until the strike of midnight.
5. More bars
Following feedback over the last two years, there will be more bars to save time queueing and spend more time partying!
6. Fairground rides
Roll up, roll up! There will be an assortment of fairground attractions to enjoy.
7. Massive hourly colour throws
A number of crowd-pleasers will countdown to massive hourly colour throws.
8. Bags upon bags of colour
There won’t be any shortage in bags of colour powder! The non-allergenic powder in a variety of colours will be available from the Color stall stand at Splott Warehouse.
9. Thousands of like-minded partygoers
You won’t be alone in the colour playground. Your diamond white t-shirt/vest won’t be white for long and you will soon be painted with every colour of the rainbow.
10. A unique warehouse venue
The Color Festival will be held at Splott Warehouse, an exclusive 6,000 capacity indoor/outdoor party venue on Titan Road, Cardiff. So come rain or shine!
11. Tasty food vendors
There will be a selection of quality food vendors to feast out and kickback and relax with a bite to eat in the sunshine.
12. Two launch parties
In anticipation of one of Cardiff’s biggest festivals, Buffalo Bar Cardiff on Windsor Place will be throwing an official launch party on Friday, August 12 with Taylor Jones and Buffalo resident DJs. 13. A sell out event
