The amazing achievements of the Wales football team at this year’s Euro 2016 has no doubt sent kids into their back gardens to see if they can bend it like Gareth Bale or do Hal Robson-Kanu’s ‘Cruyff’ turn.
And if they want to learn even more skills when the schools break up for summer, there are plenty of soccer camps in south Wales you can book them into to learn more about free kicks, the off-side rule and how to score a penalty.
1. Cardiff City Foundation
What: There are a number of different courses on offer, including a 5-day course, a girls-only music themed soccer school (£20 on Tuesday, July 26 at 9am) a 4-day summer experience (£100 on Monday, August 8) and goalkeeping courses.

When: They kick off on Monday, July 25 and run throughout the school holidays.

What: These focus on ball control, dribbling, passing, shooting, tackling and defending.

What: Open to boys and girls aged between 4 and 16 years and players of any ability. Each player is challenged to learn new skills and techniques while learning through matches and game scenarios. They even get a chance to visit Chelsea FC

What: It’s for any children from under 8 to under 13s and there will be football, fun and games and daily prizes.

6. Dragon Camps
What: These are for boys and girls aged 8 – 17 years and adopt a ‘player centred’ approach to coaching using their ‘learning through the games’ philosophy. The coaching camps help promote technical, tactical and ethical player development and, of course, football skills!

7. Ashley Williams Soccer Camp
What: Yes, you can get enjoy a coaching session devised by Wales captain Ashley Williams , fresh from his Euro 2016 triumph – and he may even turn up too.
You will have warm-ups and reaction games, technique training, skills, small-sided games and tournaments. And you will take away an official Ashley Williams soccer camp certificate of participation and a medal. It’s for boys and girls of all abilities aged 8 to 14 years.
