Blues region provides four teams in Millennium Stadium final

The day kicks off with an all Blues final contested between Pontypridd v Rhondda schools in the Under 15 Schools Dewar Shield Final.

Pontypridd schools reached the final after a convincing 27 to 12 point win over last year’s finalists Cardiff schools. While reigning champions Rhondda schools reached the final after a hard fought 15 to 13 win over Swansea schools.

In the other matches its east v west when Ysgol Glantaf, Cardiff will take on Coleg Sir Gar from Carmarthenshire in the schools final. Coleg Sir Gar also contests in the colleges’ final taking on Coleg Morgannwg.

Richard Hodges Cardiff Blues / WRU Performance Manager said,

“It’s a testament to the development structure and the hard work of all involved that the Blues region are providing four of the six finalists in Wednesday’s finals.

“It promises to be a huge day for the youngsters and their families and no doubt there will be future stars of the Blues on show.”

11.45am: Dewar Shield Final: Pontypridd v Rhondda

1.30pm: Schools final: Ysgol Glantaf v Coleg Sir Gar

3.15pm: Colleges final: Coleg Sir Gar v Coleg Morgannwg
