Cardiff Blues flashmob video: Blues launch new kit with city centre dance routine

Cardiff Blues launched their new kit for the 2013/14 season with an innovative flashmob dance routine in Cardiff city centre.

Crowds gathered outside Cardiff library in the Hayes area of the city as a group of dancers dressed as members of the public began performing a seemingly spontaneous dance routine.Cardiff Blues new shirt

As the Debbie Chapman dancers started strutting their stuff they were joined by Blues star Robin Copeland before removing part of their clothing to reveal the new shirt.

Around two dozen dancers took part in the launch as fans and passers-by cheered from the sidelines.

The Blues home shirt , which has already received a favourable reaction on Twitter , features traditional Cardiff colours with light and dark blue hoops, while the away shirt will be white with blue swirling stripes.

One fan on Twitter, Ellen Parker, said: “Fabulous shirt launch. Loving the colours, bring on the news season.”

Another, Martin Hughes, added: “Cardiff Blues have a fine new jersey. Well done on a great launch today – the Hayes was rocking!”
