The FIM British Speedway takes place at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium. The 2012 event will be the first in a five year commitment from the Speedway organisers to host the event at the stadium.
The FIM British Speedway Grand Prix sees riders race anti-clockwise around an oval circuit inside the Millennium Stadium. Dirt is transported into the stadium for the event.
The riders use only one gear, and do not have brakes, instead the throttle and handlebars are used to achieve a power sliding technique and control their movement and speed. The 2012 FIM British Speedway will take place on 25 August, as part of the World Championships.
