Fishing equipment stolen from a shed break-in

A large amount of fishing equipment has been stolen from a shed in Hartshorne after thieves forced open a padlock.

A lengthy list of items, including reel, rods and bait bags, has been revealed among the items stolen.

The incident happened some time between 3pm on March 3 and 8.30pm on March 5, when the shed was broken into in Brookdale Road, Hartshorne.

The padlock was forced open to enable the thieves to remove the items.

Fishing equipment stolen includes a 6ft tall green holdall containing three Free Spirit rods, three reels, a fishing net, a net handle, stainless bank sticks and a landing net, a 2ft by 1ft bag containing fishing alarms, Fox’s box with bait bags, tackle, a mallet, a rig box and terminal tackle Fox Box.

If anyone has been offered fishing equipment since the date of the theft they should contact Derbyshire Police by calling 101 and quoting reference number 19*114496.
