HardingEvans appoints two new senior solicitors

Law firm HardingEvans has made a significant investment in its criminal law team with the appointment of two new senior solicitors.

Craig Bond, originally from Cardiff, worked for the Crown Prosecution Service for a number of years as a senior prosecutor where he earned a reputation for prosecuting hi-tech crime.

Since then he has gone on to become one of the country’s foremost motoring lawyers, defending a number of premiership footballers and celebrities, before joining HardingEvans as an associate in 2013.

Mr Bond said: “Over the years I have worked and dealt with a number of law firms so I can appreciate how strong HardingEvans is and I am delighted to have the opportunity to join their team.

“Changes to Legal Aid will have a real impact on the whole of the legal profession and I’m determined that the firm will remain one of the leading criminal law providers in the area, offering top quality defence services regardless of the client’s ability to pay.”

As a motoring specialist, Craig will also use his considerable expertise to develop HardingEvans’ motoring department.

Nathan Jones, also from Cardiff, joins the team with almost a decade of criminal law experience gained from working in a number of South Wales firms.

He said: “Like Craig I was drawn to HardingEvans by the excellent reputation it has in South Wales and the prospects that working for a firm of this quality and size can offer.”

Zep Bellavia, managing partner, HardingEvans said: “Having completed significant investment in new technology and processes, we are now investing heavily in our personnel to ensure that we remain one of South Wales’ top law firms.

“To have someone of Craig’s experience and skill is a real coup for the firm. I have no doubt that both Craig and Nathan will have a very positive impact on the business and I’m sure that our clients will benefit from their considerable expertise.”
