Hogan Shines in Sheffield Shield

WA lead by 4 runs with 4 first innings wickets remaining, after Tasmania were dismissed for 261 with Michael Hogan claiming 4-48 from his 24 overs including the wickets of James Faulkner and opener Jordan Silk as well as 10 maidens at a 2.01 economy.

Michael Hogan has now taken 198 wickets in Sheffield Shield cricket and will hope to hit the double hundred milestone in the second innings.

Elsewhere at the half way stage in this round of fixtures, Queensland are on top in their clash with New South Wales, after 170 from Matt Renshaw in their first innings, whilst top of the table Victoria have some work to do to recover in their match in Melbourne against second place South Australia, with the visitors likely to have a relatively small total to chase to win the game.
