Kids In Glass Houses have announced details of their new album and UK tour.
After a triumphant return to the stage at Slam Dunk festival this weekend the Cardiff rockers have unveiled their fourth album Peace.
Released through Transmission Recordings on September 30, it’s the follow up to the critically acclaimed and Welsh Music Prize shortlisted In Gold Blood album.
“The approach to this record was to do something in the vein of what we used to do, where we focused on writing singles, as on (previous albums) Smart Casual and Dirt,” says singer Aled Phillips. “Then again, it’s as experimental as the last album, but instead of making one big, sprawling album we tried to make each song as catchy and memorable as possible.”
With this change in direction has come a new website and a new attitude. After seven years, three albums, thirteen singles, countless headline tours and a series of memorable festival appearances, Kids In Glass Houses Mark 4 has emerged at www.kidsinglasshouses.com
To keep fans entertained until Peace’s release, the band has teamed up with PledgeMusic to offer a collection of exclusive products and content, including behind the scenes footage, priority ticket booking, box sets, vinyl, drum skins and more.
“This album we decided to team up with the wonderful guys at PledgeMusic,” says Aled. “So when you pre-order the album through them, not only will you get great songs you’ll get exclusive content, video updates, and photos as well as being able to buy items we used in the studio. That includes, the whiteboard we used, as well as my lyric book. Just a load of cool things we’ve never been able to deliver to fans before”
To promote the album the band will head out on a UK tour this autumn which includes a headline date at Cardiff University on Thursday, October 3.
To buy tickets for the tour today, three days before general sale, fans can pre-order the album through PledgeMusic.
