It may be billed as a one-man show but Ceri Dupree’s latest performances in Cardiff will feature a host of colourful characters.
The female impersonator will be taking on the egos of 21 glamorous women when he takes to the stage of the New Theatre for two nights.
The Faaaaaabulous Ceri Dupree Show will be packed with comedy, impersonations and sensational costumes.
From Lady Gaga to The Queen, Dupree’s show brings a touch of Las Vegas to the UK.
Dupree has been winning over audiences for more than 30 years, working in musical theatre, pantomime, television and cabaret both in the UK and around the world.
He has performed at many venues in the West End, including Café de Paris, Ronnie Scott’s and a two-year residency at Madam Jo Jo’s.
Dupree has also written and produced many of his own shows, including Missleading Ladies, The Ceri Dupree Spectacular, Ladies of Legend and Totally Frocked Up and has impersonated almost every major female star – from Dame Shirley Bassey, Madonna and Cher to Tina Turner and Marilyn Monroe.
Most recently he played Queen Passionella in the New Theatre’s pantomime Sleeping Beauty opposite Joe Pasquale.
Future plans include a play about the late great Bette Davis, and a play based on the life of the legendary Danny La Rue, entitled Don’t Miss La Rue).
His future ambitions are to work in Las Vegas and to play the lead in the musical La Cage Aux Folles
