She’s best known as Dorothy in the hit stage show The Wizard Of Oz but fast foward a few years and Sophie Evans is now reaching new heights in the world of showbiz with a role in her first feature film.
Tonypandy’s most famous redhead is revealing all in tomorrow’s Western Mail Week End magazine in an in-depth interview and picture special as Brit flick The World’s End hits weekend audiences.
Twenty-year-old Sophie appears as a femme fatale alongside Simon Pegg and Nick Frost in the madcap story of five friends who return to their hometown to complete a 12-pub crawl ending at a pub – The World’s End. But all is not as it seems as the friends find themselves in the middle of an alien invasion…
“It’s miles away from The Wizard of Oz, poles apart from Dorothy. The character I play in The World’s End is quite seductive,” is how she describes the femme fatale.
In tomorrow’s Western Mail Week End magazine Sophie looks back on her rise to stardom as a finalist in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s talent show Over The Rainbow, shares her acting ambitions, her passion for fashion and spills the beans on her romance with Wales under-20s captain and Cardiff Blues player Ellis Jenkins.
