Cardiff City have agreed a fee with Blackpool for winger Tom Ince, according to Sky Sports today .
The reports say an agreement is in place for the 21-year-old to become Malky Mackay’s first Premier League signing of the summer for around £8m.
Playing under his father Paul at Blackpool last season, Ince flourished and caught the attention of Premier League giants, including his former club Liverpool, who have first option on a return move, and Tottenham Hotspur.
But as reports surfaced that Brendan Rodgers and Andre Villas Boas were cooling their interest in the winger, sources close to the Bluebirds also moved to deny their interest in an £8m deal as they focus on capturing the signature of Celtic’s Victor Wanyama.
Furthermore it has emerged today that Newcastle United bosses Alan Pardew and Joe Kinnear are interested in a move for the youngster.
Journal Live today says Director of football Kinnear is understood to be receptive to manager Pardew’s call for more domestic talent to be brought into United’s squad and names Darren Bent, James Tomkins and Ince as their top targets.
