These are the four boys who will take turns at playing the leading role when Billy Elliott the Musical leaps into action in Cardiff this week.
The much-loved smash-hit is pirouetting onto the stage at Cardiff’s Wales Millennium Centre (WMC) tomorrow and Matthew Lyons and Haydn May, who are both 11, and Adam Abbou and Lewis Smallman, who are both 12, are ready to take their positions.
The four boys will alternate in the title role which follows the story of Billy’s journey from boxing to ballet in a town in the North of England during the Miners’ Strike in 1984-85.
The youngsters, who all come from England, have been cast following nationwide auditions and after months of rehearsals.
The show also stars Annette McLaughlin as Mrs Wilkinson, Martin Walsh as Dad, Scott Garnham as Tony and Andrea Miller as Grandma.
Billy Elliott the Musical runs at the WMC from Wednesday, June 15 until Saturday, July 16. To find out more or to buy tickets visit www.wmc.org.uk or call 029 2063 6464.
