Thieves steal police officer’s uniform

Cheeky thieves broke into a police car and stole a cop’s uniform while its owner was responding to a 999 call.

Police are now warning members of the public in Cardiff to always ask for a police officer’s identification, in case someone is using the uniform to commit crimes.

The Fiat Panda marked police car was broken into as it was parked in Pwllmelin Road, near Fairwater Rugby Club, Cardiff, at around 10.30pm on Monday, August 5.

Police are appealing for information following the theft of uniform from a panda car in Cardiff.

The thief stole a bag containing the police uniform but did not manage to steal any police identifications or warrant cards.

If you have any information about the theft or if you think you know where the stolen uniform is, call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
