A church in Cardiff is using the augmented reality app Pokemon Go to get people to come and worship there.
St John’s Church in the city centre is using the app, which encourages users to explore their surroundings in the hunt for the virtual creatures, to encourage Pokemon trainers come inside the church.

It reads: “St John’s welcomes Pokemon trainers!”
It then asks them: “What hidden treasures will you find inside?!”
Quoting the bible, it adds: “Jesus said ‘The Kingdom of Heaven is like this: a man finds a treasure hidden in a field… He sells everything he has to buy that field.'”
It is yet to be seen whether the imaginative method of advertising a church will result in more people attending their Sunday services.
But there’s every chance more Pokemon-mad app users will want to visit the Grade I listed parish church when they realise there might be a Mewtwo or a Zapdos hiding inside.
