Three men arrested in Elliots Town murder probe

Police officers have put a cordon around the house in Long Row in New Tredegar

Three men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a 54-year-old man was found dead in Caerphilly county.

His body was found at a flat in Long Row in the Elliots Town area of New Tredegar on Saturday afternoon.

He has been identified as a local man, Gwent Police said. Officers are supporting his family.

Two men from New Tredegar, aged 23 and 51, and 47-year-old man from Aberbargoed were arrested on Sunday.

The cause of the man’s death is yet to be determined and a post mortem examination is to be carried out, police said.
