The rain and mud didn’t stop revellers from descending on the 10th annual Green Man festival in Glanusk Park near the Brecon Beacons this year.

Campers and music lovers arrived at the site Thursday to see an eclectic mix of folk, rock and electronic music, as well as top British comedy and literary talks, despite the rain.

Saturday night headliner Van Morrison took to the Mountain Stage after top British group Metronomy.

Feist and American group The Walkmen entertained the crowds Sunday.

At Green Man, the 600-acre site includes Einstein’s Garden which is a fusion of science, art and nature.

It’s nestled between rose arbours and flower-beds. And the Nature and Nurture area is the perfect place to chill out in between sets from the eclectic bill of musicians.

Also playing on the Mountain Stage today are the Tune-Yard, King Creosote and Jon Hopkins, Amien Jurado, Ghostpoet, The Pictish Trail and Seamus Fogart.

Originally put on at Craig y Nos castle by local musicians Jo Bartlett and Danny Hagan for a few hundred mates, it moved to 19th-century manor house Baskerville Hall, near Hay-on-Wye, before relocating to its current location in 2006, with attendance levels steadily growing alongside the festival’s international profile.

Regularly selling out its 13,000-plus capacity well in advance, it’s an annual highlight for many a lover of left-field rock, psychedelic folk and sonic curiosities.
