A young boy has been rushed to hospital with head injuries after being hit by a car in Cardiff today.
The incident occurred around 4.20pm at the junction between Crwys Road and Albany Road in Cathays.
A spokeswoman for South Wales Police confirmed officers had been called to reports of a collision between a vehicle and a child.
She added his injuries were not believed to be “life threatening”.
A spokeswoman for the Welsh Ambulance Service said: “We sent a basics doctor, a rapid response vehicle and an emergency ambulance to the scene and a young boy with a head injury was taken to University Hospital of Wales.”
