Welsh castles are famous worldwide. Its remarkable coastline and national parks feature in all the best-selling guidebooks.

Among these there are the major names in tourism, such as the castles of Edward I’s ring of steel, the Pembrokeshire Coast Path or Snowdonia.

But hidden away far from the pages of Lonely Planet and often known only to the native or the inquisitive are some gems every bit as exciting as Caernarfon Castle or Broad Haven beach.
