These pictures show divers heading into the River Dove to search for a missing angler. Roger Wheat has been missing since Tuesday, January 7. He was last seen fishing on the riverbank near Ellastone Bridge on the River Dove, in Ellastone. On Wednesday, January 8 divers searched the water, a boat headed along the river and others walked along the banks for any sign of Mr Wheat from the early morning until the sky grew dark. Today the search is continuing, police have confirmed. Mr Wheat was last seen wearing a brown Barbour jacket, dark-coloured trousers and wellington boots. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Mr Wheat is asked to call Staffordshire Police on 101 urgently, quoting incident 329 of January 7.
