Forensic officers scrambled to fishing pool after gruesome discovery – Stoke-on

Police have revealed the reason why residents spotted forensics at a popular fishing pool.

Families in Abbey Hulton had noticed officers at Jammies Pool in Abbey Hulton on Sunday afternoon.

And today Staffordshire Police say the presence came after some bones were found in the area.

But the force says they did belong to an animal.

A spokeswoman said: “Police were called at 12.33pm on Sunday, January 2 to Jammies Pond off Abbey Road in Abbey Hulton.

“A member of the public reported uncovering approximately 12 bones in the area.

“A forensic team attended the site.

“The bones were later deemed to be that of an animal.”
