The independent crime-fighting charity Crimestoppers is today offering a reward of up to £5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murder of Pennie Davis.
Pennie was murdered a week ago in the New Forest. Her body was found in a paddock by Leygreen Farm on the afternoon of Tuesday, September 2.
The 47-year-old mum of five had been tending her horse when she was attacked and suffered multiple stab wounds.
Crimestoppers is offering a reward of up to £5,000 for information passed through the charity’s 0800 555 111 number or via the online form that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible.
Julia Hughes, Regional Manager for Crimestoppers, said: “We urgently need to find whoever it is that committed this horrendous crime. Pennie’s family is totally bereft and need answers. We would urge anyone with information to contact us anonymously, safe in the knowledge that their identity will not be revealed.”
Detective Superintendent Paul Barton said: “We’re really fortunate to have the support of Crimestoppers who have assisted us in putting up this reward. One would hope you should not need to make money available for people to come forward and help with such a brutal crime, but it may be that people are scared to do so.”
If you have any information on this incident please contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or through our Anonymous Online Form.
Note:Rewards will only be payable for information passed to Crimestoppers’ 0800 555 111 number or via the Anonymous Online Form where users opt in for two-way communication and request a reward code. This reward is being offered by the charity Crimestoppers, not the police. Information passed to police will not qualify.
