Gabriel, who has sixty-five international caps for Romania, has signed a deal with the Bluebirds that runs until 30th June, 2016.
The centre-half completed his medical and paperwork on Wednesday afternoon and spoke exclusively to Cardiff City Player HD.
“I wanted to return to English football and out of a few offers, decided that Cardiff City was the Club I wanted to come to,” said Gabriel.
“I’ve met up with the Manager and a few of the boys who I remember playing against during my time in the UK. I’m looking forward to training with the boys and getting out there.”
