Former Wycombe Wanderers winger Kadeem Harris fired in three incredible goals as City’s development side saw off Haverfordwest County in their first pre-season game.
Kevin Cooper’s side went into the game with three trialists in the starting line-up while Slovakian midfielder Filip Kiss and Slovenian striker Etien Velikonja added experience to an otherwise young City starting eleven.
The away side took a one goal advantage going in at the break with Kadeem Harris firing the visitors into the lead after a fine first half display.
Wholesale half time changes saw the City coaches introduce a number of second year professionals against the Welsh Division One side as well as former Welsh Premier League striker Rhys Healey; Healey impressed on a number of occasions for City’s development side last term following his move from Gap Connah’s Quay in January.
In a controlled second half performance, City’s pacey winger Harris stole the show with two incredibly well taken goals to seal his hat-trick.
City added a fourth goal through trialist Correia, while a late consolation goal from Pemberton for the home side couldn’t put a dampener on a fine team performance from City’s young pros.
Cooper will be looking for his team to build on Tuesday’s fine win on Saturday with a match-up with local side Barry Town United. Kick-off at Jenner Park is 3pm.
