Wales’ First Minister Mark Drakeford is to reveal his proposal for exiting lockdown today.
Mr Drakeford will announce details at his 12.30pm press conference in Cardif Bay about his ‘traffic light’ roadmap that will emphasis the need for caution.
Previously, he said the Welsh Government has set seven tests that will have to be met before it will ease the lock down restrictions.
He has described the process of lifting lockdown as being like a “traffic light in reverse”. The red phase would see only “the most careful and controlled lifting of restrictions”, amber would see more restrictions lifted and if the virus does not re-emerge, Wales could move to the green zone.
Today, Mr Drakeford will explain how restrictions on day-to-day life, schools and businesses could begin to be eased.
It comes after the chief executive of NHS Wales has said the number of patients in hospital with coronavirus is at its lowest since early April.
On Thursday, it was confirmed that 10 more people had died with lab confirmed Covid-19 and there had been 128 more people diagnosed with the virus.

Dr Andrew Goodall said 581 people were in hospital with confirmed coronavirus along with 298 suspected cases at the moment.
Around 2,700 acute hospital beds, or around 39%, are currently empty while 67% of Wales’ 385 critical care beds are “empty and available”. He reiterated that the NHS remains open and said over the past week there was evidence of “more normal NHS activity” resuming.
Dr Goodall also warned that there remained “real potential to see some of the community transmission increase further” in the future. “It’s quite clear that at least we are through that initial peak and would hope we can deploy mitigating actions if there’s going to be a second or even third peak in the future.”
While stay-at-home orders remain largely in place across Wales, some employees in England who cannot work from home have this week been encouraged to return to their workplaces.
As the Government begins to relax measures in England, people remain unable to visit relatives or friends at their homes, but can now be shown around a property for sale.
Unlimited exercise and sunbathing will also be permitted in England from Wednesday, as long as the two-metre rule is respected, while golf clubs and tennis courts have also been allowed to reopen.
