The Bluebirds defeated Huddersfield Town by four goals to nil at Ninian Park, thanks to magic from Jason Bowen and Rob Earnshaw.
City played some superb, attacking football in front of the Ninian faithful, and found themselves 1-0 up when Bowen ran on to Fan Zhi-Yi’s pass and planted the ball in the bottom corner from twenty yards.
While the Terriers played the ball around on the floor well, City grabbed a second just before the break to put them on the path to victory. Neil Alexander claimed the assist, as his long free-kick put Earnshaw clean through, and City’s number ten made no mistake in slotting home.
With Cardiff two up, the Terriers’ Danny Schofield was dismissed for a tackle from behind, and City soon took advantage in superb style.
After Bowen’s trickery, Peter Thorne dummied Earnshaw’s low cross into the box, and Bowen was on hand to back-heel into the net. Earnshaw then rounded things off with the Bluebirds’ fourth strike, keeping City in third place in Division 2.
