The hit music video has been viewed a record two billion times since being released by South Korean singer Psy.

But now his famously catchy pop-song Gangnam Style has created a whole new record much closer to home.

A whopping 1,100 children, parents and grandparents danced their way into the Guinness Book of World Records yesterday for having the most people dancing to the song at one time.

The lively fundraiser, which took place at Whitchurch Common just after 3pm, was in aid of Velindre Hospital. It was organised by Whitchurch dad Andy Maguire whose wife Rachael, 41, was treated for breast cancer at the hospital.

“It was a really amazing event; it was fantastic that so many people, both young and old, turned up. The response was absolutely brilliant and it’s amazing to be world record breakers,” Rachael said.
