Send us your pictures and win our Echo on Tour competition

The sun is shining, the plane has just landed on the Tarmac
and you’re looking forward to two weeks in a continental hotspot.

You’ve packed all the important things – suncream, hat,
Speedos, Imodium – but there’s one thing you’ve got that you would never be
without: your copy of the South Wales Echo.

For years now, we’ve been running our annual Echo on Tour
competition, which asks our readers to send us pictures of themselves on
holiday holding a copy of their favourite local newspaper.

And this year’s no different.

As usual, we’ll be offering cash prizes to the winners and
printing all the entries that we’re sent over the course of the summer and
beyond.

So don’t forget to pack an Echo when you go away and make
sure you pose in front of the most unusual landmark when you’re there.

Our first entry is Cardiff man Lyndon Banbury who’s been
travelling the world with his fiancee (and his Echo) for the past 12 months or
so.

Lyndon, whose pictures were taken by fiancee Sarah Hamlin,
first went to Amsterdam in November 2012 where he was snapped overlooking one
of the hundreds of canals there.

“Then in November we went to Tenerife and there is a photo
of me with the imposing Los Gigantes in the background – higher than the white cliffs of Dover,” he
said.

“Then there is a shot overlooking the river Vistula in a
very snowy and cold Krakow earlier this year.

“Finally, there are
pictures from our trip to Kuala Lumpur and Bali, Indonesia, in June 2013
– the first is a picture with the Bangunan Sultan Abdul Samad (the Malaysia’s
Supreme Court and High Court) building in the background right in the middle of
KL.

“The second is with the Pura Ulun Danu Bratan (known as the
Temple in the Lake) in Bali – a truly remarkable spectacle.”
