Strictly 2014: Take a sneak peak at tonight’s launch show as Brucie makes a special guest appearance

Thought you’d seen the last of Sir Bruce Forsyth on Strictly Come Dancing? Think again!

The veteran entertainer is BACK on the launch show tonight in a surprise guest appearance.

Brucie, 86, makes a special cameo to hand over the presenting baton to new team Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman after the long-standing host announced earlier this year he would be standing down.

TV audiences will be treated to a special routine featuring Bruce and this year’s professional dancers.

Contestants on this year’s series include ex-Blue singer Simon Webbe, reality star Mark Wright, the Saturdays’ Frankie Bridge, tennis coach Judy Murray, former rugby star Thom Evans Casualty actress Sunetra Sarker and This Morning presenter Alison Hammond.

And judging from our gallery of pictures from tonight’s launch show, Strictly 2014 is going to be more glittery than ever.

The launch episode will tonight go head-to-head with the X Factor before returning to its regular Saturday night slot.

Strictly Come Dancing is on BBC1 at 8pm.
