The last episode of Educating Cardiff is all about wannabe actress Coral and the wellbeing team

In Educating Cardiff’s eighth and final episode, the cameras follow Coral who dreams of being an actress with a career in Hollywood or on Broadway.

She can sing and of energy and the minute the school concert is announced hers is the first name on the audition sheet.

But, unfortunately life isn’t a song and dance for Coral at the moment and with the pressure on her, she can be easily distracted in class and her behaviour is worsening.

With her big solo coming up at Willows High school it’s touch and go whether or not the 200 strong audience might be a little too much for her to take on.

It also focuses on the ladies from the well-being and attendance office.

When Mrs Ballard joined Willows High School one of the first things she did was create a well-being and attendance office. Run by four women who are responsible for each house, they are a vital part of the school’s pastoral system.

If you’ve got a problem it is the place to go – whether it’s being late for school, running out of lunch money or forgetting your tie, these women are the heart of Willows and maintain fantastic relationships with the pupils.

With the concert approaching, the pastoral department is there at all times offering support to those with pre-performance nerves.

Educating Cardiff continues next Tuesday (October 13) at 9pm on Channel 4.
