It’s the smartphone app that has become an international sensation, and now the theme from Pokemon Go has had the remix treatment from a Welsh musician – becoming a viral hit to boot.
Los Angeles-based rapper, DJ and producer Akira The Don is renowned for bringing his own idiosyncratic remix style to bear on music of every conceivable hue – including applying some ace Welsh rapping to Super Furry Animals’ genius football banger Bing Bong
Unsurprisingly his fun Pokemon Go remix has become something of a cult hit having had close to 30,000 plays on Soundcloud.
Akira The Don say says: “I remixed the #PokemonGO theme music! It is SUPER WAVY and guaranteed to attract more Pokemon than 100 Lures!”
