Live T20 Blast cricket: Glamorgan face Lancashire in the quarter-finals with a …

Welcome to our live blog of this evening’s T20 Blast quarter-final between Lancashire and Glamorgan at Old Trafford.

Sadly, the news from Manchester isn’t great with rain on and off throughout the day meaning it’s a fairly miserable scene here at the moment.

Remember, if and when we do get underway, Glamorgan know a win would be enough to take them through to Finals Day at Edgbaston later this month.

The covers are on and any chance of play at the moment looks remote.

It’s a case of wait and see here as the rain will have to dry up before the groundstaff can get to work.

There’s been massive downpours in Manchester and right now the outfield resembles a lake.

It’s not good news at all for today’s game, though there remains a small chance we could be set for a 5 over a side game later on.

We’ll keep you posted but to be frank, there is little to no chance of play in the near future.

Here’s a selection of pictures, tweets and vines showing just how wet it is here at Old Trafford

Glamorgan keeper Mark Wallace isn’t too confident of any play today.

And it’s hard not to blame him.

Umpires out to have an inspection at Old Traford, it doesn’t last too long though which is hardly a surprise.

Official confirmation that this afternoon’s game between Lancashire and Glamorgan has been called off due to rain.

The two umpires have said the sides will come back tomorrow and try again with a 2pm start.

So the two sides will try again tomorrow at Old Trafford.

A really disappointing situation for the two teams.

Here’s a quick snap from Old Trafford this evening.

No real surprise to hear the game has been called off.

At least Glamorgan opener Jacques Rudolph can see the funny side to today’s abandonment.
